Please read and understand these Terms and Conditions before booking with Ear Dell'Africa Adventure. By making a booking, you acknowledge that you appreciate the possible risks inherent in travel and adventurous activities such as game driving, walking safaris, and trekking in Africa.
1. Bookings and Payments
- Tours are firmly booked once a 30% deposit of the tour cost has been paid.
- The balance is due at least 60 days before arriving in Tanzania.
- If the reservation is made within 60 days of departure, the entire amount must be paid at the time of booking.
- The price covers all costs noted in the itinerary, including driver guide, vehicle, meals on safari, accommodation, and national park/conservation area entrance fees.
- The price does not include tips, optional activities, items of a personal nature, or international bank transfer surcharges.
2. Cancellations and Refunds
Cancellations must be received in writing. Because we are a long-haul destination and book lodges months in advance, reservations are subject to the following cancellation fees:
- More than 60 days prior to arrival: 20% of the total cost.
- 31 to 60 days prior to arrival: 50% of the total cost.
- 15 to 30 days prior to arrival: 75% of the total cost.
- 14 days or less prior to arrival: 100% of the total cost.
Trip cancellation insurance is strongly recommended. No refunds are given for lost travel time, substitution of facilities, or if you leave your program after it has begun.
3. Medical, Health, and Safety
Participation on a safari requires that you be in generally good health. It is essential that persons with medical problems or dietary restrictions make them known to us well before departure. Anti-malaria precautions are the sole responsibility of the client.
Wildlife Risks: Our safaris take you into close contact with wild animals. While attacks are rare, no safari can guarantee they will not occur. Many lodges and camps are not fenced, and wildlife moves freely. Always follow the safety instructions from your guide and camp staff.
4. Travel Documents and Insurance
Clients are responsible for obtaining passports, visas, health certificates, and any other documents relating to their holiday.
It is a strict condition of booking that guests carry comprehensive travel and medical insurance to cover themselves and their dependents. This must include coverage for emergency evacuation, medical expenses, repatriation, cancellation or curtailment of the tour, and damage/theft/loss of personal baggage.
5. Liability and Alterations
We reserve the right to alter arrangements or cancel the operation of a scheduled tour should conditions necessitate (e.g., adverse weather, road conditions, game migrations). Ear Dell'Africa Adventure shall not be held liable for any delays or additional costs incurred as a result of airlines not running to schedule.
All bookings are accepted by us as an independent ground operator. We cannot accept liability for any services you arrange on your own or for acts or omissions by independent contractors (e.g., airlines, hotels).
