1. What Are Cookies?
Cookies are text-only strings of information transferred from a website to the cookie file of the browser on your computer's hard disk. This allows a website to remember certain information about you, such as the pages you've visited or your preferences. Cookies cannot be used by themselves to identify you personally.
2. Types of Cookies We Use
We use "cookies" to store and collect information regarding your usage of the website. There are two types of cookies we use:
- Session Cookies: These last only as long as your web browser is open. Once you close your browser, the cookie disappears.
- Persistent Cookies: These store information on your computer for longer periods of time (typically up to 3 months) to remember your preferences and analyze website performance.
3. Third-Party Analytics
In order to understand how visitors interact with our site and improve your experience, we utilize trusted third-party analytics solutions. These performance cookies track non-identifiable metrics such as how long you spend on the site and the pages you visit. We do not use cross-site advertising trackers.
4. Consent and Cookie Retention
Except for strictly necessary cookies, we will only place cookies on your device with your consent. You may withdraw your consent at any time by adjusting your browser settings. Withdrawal of consent will not affect the lawfulness of processing based on consent before its withdrawal.
We regularly review cookie retention periods and will not retain information collected through cookies for longer than is reasonably necessary, typically no more than 14 months for analytics aggregates.
5. How to Disable Cookies
You may choose to delete and block all cookies; however, some features of the site may not be fully functional. Here is how to disable them in popular browsers:
- Google Chrome: Go to Settings > Privacy and security > Cookies and other site data.
- Safari (Apple): Choose Safari > Preferences > Privacy, and select "Block all cookies".
- Mozilla Firefox: Go to Options > Privacy & Security, and select your preferred level of tracking protection.
- Microsoft Edge: Go to Settings > Cookies and site permissions > Manage and delete cookies and site data.
6. Governing Law
This Cookie Policy and any dispute or claim arising out of it shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Tanzania. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Tanzania.
